Solskjaer to demand FOUR new faces with Sancho and Rice most wanted

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer wants up to four new key signings, with Jadon Sancho at the top of his wish list.

As United lost on penalties to Villarreal in the Europa League, Solskjaer’s lack of faith in the depth of his squad was highlighted, with the Norwegian hesitating to look to his bench until the hundredth minute.

However, following United’s trophyless season, he is keen to change that, with the right-wing, center back, center midfield, and striker being Solskjaer’s key areas for reinforcement.

The right-wing position has been a problem for United for some time, and Sancho of Borussia Dortmund remains Solskjaer’s primary preference to fill it.

Last summer, United attempted but failed to recruit Sancho, refusing to pay Dortmund’s £108 million asking prices.
They are, nevertheless, the front-runners for his signature. Dortmund will allow England starlet Sancho, 21, to depart for the right price this summer.

Their asking price will be lesser this time, however, they haven’t finalized the amount that will entice them to sell, and negotiations are still underway.

Pau Torres of Villarreal, along with Raphael Varane of Real Madrid, was impressive against United and is one of the center-back candidates being evaluated.

United is also interested in Declan Rice of West Ham but is concerned about the high price tag the Hammers may demand their captain.

Solskjaer has a lot of players he may shed to give him more freedom to move in the transfer market, especially with a striker on his wish list.

One of their major goalkeepers is among them, with United anticipating the departure of either David de Gea or Dean Henderson.
Throughout the season, Solskjaer has rotated between David de Gea and Dean Henderson.

De Gea was chosen to play in the Europa League final, but he ended up being the victim after his critical spot-kick in the shootout was saved.
